As a mother and artist, I was moved to by the collective emotion of grief and sadness over the sudden departure of Kobe Bryant. I started painting as soon as I heard the news on Sunday, February 26th, 2020. After non-stop painting and 100 hours later, this portrait emerged.  Confident and focused, Kobe’s gaze seems to follow your eyes, bringing his essence to life.    – Tatyana
